Our Story

Hello there, my  name is Michelle. I am the founder and head photographer of Kith And Kin. I specialize in portrait, fashion editorial, lifestyle, family and head-shot photography. Before opening Kith and Kin Photos in 2015, I completed a Bachelors of Fine Arts and earned my Masters in Photography at Instituto Marangoni. After graduating, I worked on establishing my reputation for 10+ years as the Junior Art Director and photographer at Vogue Italia. Today I run Kith and Kin here in San Francisco and I spend my free time grounding myself in the mountains, going to the beach and photography that is devoted to mankind and happy people.

 I won't bore you with a dissertation on how much "we would love to take photos and would be honored to do yours" because I hope it's obvious from the work we do and reviews we receive. Our goal is simply to make this experience fun, have everyone look their best, defuse any stress and deliver a real and, better than real, moments.

I work with the best technology on the market and use a candid, relaxed approach. I value getting to know all of my clients and understanding exactly what their intensions and desires are for each photo shoot. Whether you like exploding colors, timeless black and white beauty or a fun vintage retro look, I always make it my first priority to capture the perfect photo.
